Toddler hit by SUV | Sandusky Ohio Child Accident Lawyers

A 19-month-old baby boy was flown to a Cleveland hospital after an SUV struck him in the driveway of an East Bogart Road home.
Michael Kusser Jr. suffered serious injuries - including a head injury - when a 1997 Chevy Tahoe driven by Perkins police Sgt. Mark Kusser backed into him.
Sgt. Kusser, was off duty when he backed the vehicle down his driveway and accidentally ran into his grandson.
Perkins police Chief Ken Klamar asked the sheriff's office to investigate the incident because it involved an officer who works for the township.
Kusser had been babysitting the boy Tuesday afternoon. There was no indication he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the incident, and he voluntarily submitted a blood sample for testing.
"He's a good family man, and he would never intentionally hurt anyone," Klamar said. "This was a very, very horrific accident.
"I'm sure in his career he's seen things similar, and I'm sure you never think those things can happen to you," Klamar said. "But in the blink of an eye, it can."
The boy was conscious and breathing shortly after the crash.
