Road rage incident leads to two children hurt | Toledo Ohio child accident attorney

One man was arrested and a 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after an apparent road rage incident in Wood County Friday evening. The series of events began on State Route 51 near Bradner Road. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Jeremy Jackson of Millbury was driving southbound when he attempted to pass a car being driven by James Gallagher of Genoa. Jackson swerved back into the southbound lane to avoid colliding with an oncoming car, and this action forced Gallagher's vehicle off the road.
Gallagher's passengers included his wife Jessica, and their two children, ages 9 and 12. According to the report the two vehicles continued driving and then Jackson intentionally struck the Gallagher vehicle in the rear and then fled. Gallagher pursued Jackson and caught up with him outside his residence. At this point police say, Jackson brandished a knife and approached Gallagher's car. As Gallagher tried to drive away, but Jackson punctured a tire on Gallagher's vehicle.
12-year-old Damien Gallagher was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and 9-year-old Gage Gallagher suffered minor injuries. James and Jessica Gallagher also sustained minor injuries. Jackson was unhurt.
Jeremy Jackson was arrested and charged with felonious assault, aggravated menacing, OVI, driving on a suspended license, leaving the scene of an injury crash, criminal damaging and reckless operation. He was booked into the Wood County Justice Center.
