Cynthia Anderson charged with vehicular homicide in death of Morgan Duris

The media reported today that Cynthia Anderson, the woman who struck 15-year-old Morgan Duris as she was getting on the school bus last month, was charged with vehicular homicide in the young girl's death.

According to WTOL.com:

The Sylvania Police Dept. released a lengthy report Thursday, over 30 pages long, regarding the accident that killed 15-year-old Morgan Duris. It provides new insight as to why Cynthia Anderson, 66, was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide. Anderson's SUV slammed into Morgan Duris, while she was trying to cross the street to catch her bus.

According to police reports, Cynthia Anderson from Toledo was on her way to work and was in a hurry. She later told police, "I hit a child...I was going to pass (the bus) before it stopped, then the child darted out...I should have stopped...I was trying to beat (the bus). I was trying to rush."

Our hearts go out to the Duris family during this devastating time.
