A federal consumer agency has warned that SafetyCraft brand full size and portable drop-side cribs manufactured and/or distributed by Generation 2 Worldwide contains drop-side hardware that may be dangerous to toddlers and infants. The CPSC said last month that the hardware on the SafetyCraft drop-side cribs could fail and cause infants and toddlers to be suffocated and strangled.
The CPSC encourages parents to immediately stop using the crib and find another safe sleeping environment for the child. The Commission says parents should not try and fix the crib, seeing as the Generation 2 Worldwide has not been in business since 2005.
