6-year-old killed in school bus accident | Toledo Ohio Child Injury Lawyer
Anthony Scott Jr. was walking home from Oakshire Elementary School on Monday when he was struck by a day care bus in the parking lot and killed.
His 10-year-old sister, Salina Webb, also is a student at the school told The Commercial Appeal her brother was hit as he turned around to pick up a book he had dropped. He fell down and hit the back of his head after the bus hit him.
He died later at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
Police have not filed any charges against the driver, Victor Hardy, 67.
Stefani Everson, a spokeswoman for Memphis City Schools, said the proper dismissal protocols were met at the school Monday. Schools have been told to review dismissal procedures for student walkers, car riders and bus riders.
